Bila Anda menghadapi masalah karena hardisk eksternal yang berisi banyak dukungan aplikasi gagal dibaca oleh komputer (gagal mounting). Saat diklik posisi hardisk keluar informasi seperti di bawah ini:
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 13: $MFTMirr does not match $MFT (record 0).Failed to mount ‘/dev/sdb1′: Input/output errorNTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it’s aSoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windowsthen reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is veryimportant! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activateit and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g./dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the ‘dmraid’ documentationfor more details.
Bila Anda mengalami masalah seperti ini, silakan menggunakan langkah-langkah berikut ini
sudo ntfsfix /dev/sbd1
atau
sudo ntfsfix /dev/path-to-hdd
Setelah itu cabut kabel hardisk dan pasang kembali. Masalah error maunting segera teratasi.
